Things to do
Whatever your ideal holiday – relaxing or active or a mixture of both – we are ideally situated to ensure you enjoy your perfect holiday.
Beaches
Nearby beaches offer safe bathing, surfing or rock pools for the bucket & spade age – something for everyone! Greenaway has rock pools for catching crabs and fishing. Daymer Bay offers safe bathing. At Polzeath you can enjoy some of the best surfing in the British Isles. Whilst at Rock you can sail, canoe or paddle the day away. Perhaps the greatest pleasure is taking in the spectacular views of the Camel Estuary whilst simply walking or rambling over the miles of coastal footpaths or on the moors nearby.
Activities
There are many golf courses including St Enodoc, with its pretty little church right in the middle of the course (the Poet Laureate John Betjeman is buried here) and Roserrow nearby. Hire bicycles and try cycling the Camel Trail from Wadebridge to Padstow – or just walk it!
Book a Deep Sea Fishing trip at Rock or just go on a sightseeing trip. You can also go waterskiing and banana boating.
Coasteering, Rock Climbing and Sea Kayaking at Port Quin with Cornish Rock Tors Ltd – great fun for all adventurous types!
There is also the Surf’s Up Surf School at Polzeath.
Try Go Karting near Wadebridge.
For more relaxing activities, take the ferry boat crossing from Rock to Padstow – the home of Rick Stein’s famous seafood restaurant. Or take a tour and sample the wines at Camel Valley Winery. Or for a very relaxing day, visit the Cowshed Spa at the St Moritz Hotel for a special treat.
Visit the world famous open air Minack Theatre. We recommend you visit their website and check what is on and you can book online in advance of your visit.
